Born and raised in Potchefstroom, did all my high schooling there. I am from a really big family, my late Dad being a Priest and a domestic worker, my mum a stay home mum we grew up with a very little, didn’t have much but my Dad managed to send me to college where I studied Human Resource Management.

The course career choice was not really my interest it was what we could afford then and how everyone believed studying this course will make will get you a job.

After doing graduating  I  stayed home for 3 years without any job opportunities.  Eventually got a retail casual job which paid me basically nothing the salary weight far less than my transport costs but I kept at it. It made me feel worthy just to have a job.

In my heart I have always believed that I was destined for bigger and better things, better life and for some crazy reason  I have always believed I was going to be in Media in some sort of way or the other not knowing exactly sure as what but I had that in me.

After a long struggle of casual jobs here and there around my hometown Potchefstroom.

I got married and moved to Johannesburg. See I believed in Gauteng that’s were all the dreams come true for everyone so if i wanted to be anything in life this was the place and this was the moment. So  I continued to work hard as a retail sales assistant and saved up to study media with the help of my Husband of course, I did it and graduated with N. Diploma after 3 years of hard work and dedication. I started working small jobs in Marketing and Advertising but as good as I was in my job I was never complete, never completely happy, always had this empty feeling inside of me.

I have been cooking all my life for as long as I can remember, my earliest cooking memories is at the age of 13, I could cook a full seven colours meal, make my grandma’s favourite steamed ginger pudding.  Through all my ups and downs cooking was my solace, it gave me such peace and joy, and I became really good at it. During my working period cooking became my Part time hustle I would do catering for friends and family for free and soon in demand and I than started charging a fee and just like that this turned into a small side hustle.

Than one day whilst at work having a chat with one of the colleagues they happen to mentioned that their aunt was teaching people how to cook. This really got me really interested and very excited. I figured if I go study culinary, improve my skills and empower myself with knowledge and skills I could take this path, to share my cooking with the

World by sharing my little knowledge and skills I could empower others in their own kitchens. Then publish cookbooks to even reach a larger audience and this could actually bring me peace as cooking comes naturally and is really what I love, what brings me peace and joy.

I went back to study only this time it was what I was called to do in life, no false pretense and inconvenience circumstances but I had found myself.

Graduated in Diploma from Capsicum Culinary Studio.

with the little money I got from catering I then built a kitchen Studio in my back yard, started selling cookies and biscuits to help me get by. With everything I do in my cooking I strive for Greatness, quality and outmost hygiene. People noticed and traveled all over to come buy the cookies.

The demand was just amazing, upon realizing this i started hosting classes on home Baked cookies and other cooking methods the support and the demand has been nothing short of amazing.

From the love and support that I have been receiving the cooking classes made me household name, a cookbook author, collaboration with amazing Food Brands, A Food Editor and open so many doors for me and the freedom to express myself through food. With all life challenges what I learned over the years one needs to stay focus in their goal and heart desires, stay determined and never be deterred. Work hard and never forget to pray. Everything that I have is by faith and shared determination. I don’t have alot but from where I been, I feel like such an achiever and super proud of myself.
